The Manitou Chamber Music Festival is an immersive program designed to exponentially increase students’ musical understanding and performing experience. Each string quartet studies two complete multi-movement chamber works - one string quartet and one quintet with a faculty member - and performs both pieces on the final student concert, as well as a chamber orchestra piece with all festival musicians and faculty. At our festival, we believe that students playing side-by-side with professionals is the fastest way to excellence. The number of faculty/student contact hours are unmatched by any other program.
